Nothing says “teen boy” like melting crayons with heat guns!

Before I go have “Sweatpants Thanksgiving” – it’s like regular Thanksgiving but you’re sad because you’re not with your family so you wear sweatpants with your friends – I just wanted to let you know about this awesome program I had Monday.

Inspired by a previous Children’s Room program and countless Pinterest pins, we made  . . . Melted Crayon art! And it was awesome! I had fifteen teens and about 7 of them were boys. Yay!

This is what happens when you Google it.

Basically, you hot glue crayons (Crayola really do work best) to a canvas and melt them with a heat gun! (Or heat tool. Whatever you call them they look . . . a little funny. But not so funny that you can tell you teens why the heat guns make you laugh. That’d get you fired.)

So basically: melting with heat guns + crayons = fun for boys and girls! On that note, have a great Thanksgiving and I still hope to talk about Fault Line soon.
