If you’re not a super-nerd like me, then you may not know what LCARS is. The Library Computer Access and Retrieval System is basically the computer operating system that runs on Federation starships in Star Trek. See what I mean about the super-nerd?
What does this have to do with libraries? Being an LCARS engineer person is basically the closest analogy I could think of to a librarian in the 24th century. The system organizes and helps retrieve all of the information on the ships. That’s librarian-ish, right?
