All the things: weddings and Olympics

Apologies for the lack of posting lately. It’s Olympic time and I have to watch Usain Bolt run until there’s no more competition IN THE WORLD! Also, I have three programs in a row next week (Library Olympics, Henna Tattoos, and Book Babble) and two weddings. One wedding I’m pleased to be playing the piano for the ceremony and the other is in CT (still revolutionary, people!).

So those are my excuses. See you sometime in August!

Oh P.S.: Book Babble, which is our teen book group is reading Please Ignore Vera Dietz by A.S. King, which is a fantastic book. Really thought provoking, well-written, and hard, but totally worth the read.

I probably can't really be an LCARS librarian since I'm stuck in the pre-warp drive for humans early part of the 21st century. Bummer. But if I could be an LCARS librarian I would. Or I would work in Stellar Cartography. Or is there a library on Battlestar Galactica? For now, I'll just stick to reading books, writing, and earth-bound YA librarianship. I hope to use this blog as a way to write book reviews for myself and others, and to write about librarianship.
